- 19 Name That Tune.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 04-12-1993
- DESC: Name That Tune - Getting tired of seeing my audio CD's mounted on
- KEY: Name That Tune.sit KBytes: 7168
- DESC: the Mac desktop with names such as "TraCk #1" and "Track #2", I
- DESC: developed a System Extension that lets you rename your audio CD's
- DESC: and their song to whatever you want. Place this System Extension in
- DESC: your Extensions folder and next time you restart NameThatTune will
- DESC: fool the Finder so that you can rename your audio CD's and their
- DESC: songs. In addition, as soon as you insert an audio CD it will start
- DESC: playing. No more having to open CD Remote just to get the music
- DESC: goinPersonally, I have used this Extension for a long time and
- DESC: finally decided to realease it.

- 15 Parrot 1.0b1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-29-1993
- DESC: Parrot 1.0b1 - The author wrote this hack for a Halloween party.
- KEY: Parrot 1.0b1.sit KBytes: 10240
- DESC: This was in the "confusion" room. A microphone picked up sounds
- DESC: that guests made, and at random intervals, they heard their own
- DESC: voices played at other parts of the room. The hack listens to the
- DESC: sound input device and remembers everything it hears (that is loud
- DESC: enough) and then plays those things back in a random order. If your
- DESC: Mac has stereo capability, then it also randomly chooses a speaker
- DESC: to play each sound. The more memory the program has allocated, the
- DESC: more sounds it remembers. Source code is included. Requires a Mac
- DESC: with a microphone, and System 7.
- 14 PC Beep.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 08-20-1993
- DESC: PC Beep - PC Beep is rather simple little sound that emulates a PC's
- KEY: PC Beep.sit KBytes: 4096
- DESC: (IBM) sound. It is useful for many different reasons - 1. It is
- DESC: much shorter than the standard Macintosh beep. 2. It sounds better
- DESC: than the normal Macintosh beep. 3. It adds to the awe of Soft PC.
- DESC: 4. If you have ever been in a telecommunications program, and are
- DESC: suddenly sent 20 or so beeps from another computer, your computer
- DESC: doesn't lock up playing beeps. 5. To this date, 100% of the
- DESC: Macintosh users we polled prefer PC Beep over the standard
- DESC: Macintosh beep. It is a cute sound.
